CloudEventsServiceInvokeOnDeviceCreated Method

Saves the new device to disc and then invokes the Event Grid Topic that the Action Handler can start its process.

Parameters

device  DeviceDto
Newly created device
createdBy  UserSessionData
The user that created the new device.

Return Value

TaskGuid
The identifier for the event grid action that the user in the front-end can follow up on.

Remarks

There is no cancellation token because the deletion task should not be interrupted if the player leaves the page!

Exceptions

InvalidOperationExceptionIf the event could not be created; this is a serious problem.
NullReferenceExceptionThrown if device or createdBy are not filled in.
ArgumentExceptionThrown if device is not part of createdBy's company.
